Traveling:
Colleges do most of their recruiting at Junior National Qualifiers.
Playing in National Qualifiers also
provides the opportunity to compete against some of the best teams in the
country. All of our teams, except the 12 and 13 Black teams, will play in the
Crossroads Junior National Qualifier in Denver.
The cost of these National Qualifiers are estimates, you will be billed based
on actual cost for each team. POST SEASON: It is every team’s goal to win a bid to the Junior Olympic
National Championships. Our secondary goal is to be in the top 10 of each age
group after Regionals .Any team that gets a bid to the National Championships must participate. Approximate cost
for travel, tournament fees, 12 practices and coaching salaries is
$875.00. Top 10 teams will go to a post season tournament if the majority of
team members agree to go; the cost is approximately $875.00. You will only be
billed for actual cost.

Team Structure:
Premier Volleyball Club coaches will look for
certain qualities when selecting teams. There will be 10 athletes on each team.
Athletes are chosen to create the most competitive team possible. Tournament playing time
is not guaranteed.
Tryouts:
All athletes will be evaluated on these basic skills:
passing, digging, setting, blocking, hitting, serving, and game play. Premier
Volleyball Club’s directors and coaching staff will do the evaluation and
make the final team rosters. The first tryout sessions are the most
significant for the athlete’s evaluation. You should try to attend both sessions
if at all possible. Some athletes can be offered a place on a team after the
first session. We know that some athletes will be trying out for other clubs,
if we offer you a slot on one of our teams; we will need a commitment within
24 hours. If you receive an offer from another club, check with a Premier
club director to see where you stand with us. Cuts are a difficult part of
competitive volleyball. Coaches will inform each athlete where they stand with
Premier VBC by letter or phone at the end of day two of tryouts.
Practices:
All teams will have 3 practices per week (may
change on weeks with travel or tournament conflicts). Practices will be held at the Arena Sports Facility.
Practice days and times will vary. Position specific clinics will be offered
by the coaching staff and guest coaches throughout the season for all teams.
Recruiting:
Premier Volleyball Club will actively showcase players who
are interested in college recruitment. Player information will be
distributed at all National Qualifiers that player participates in, as well
as direct contact with schools of interest.
A recruiting package has been developed and is available to any athlete who requests it.
Uniforms:
Mizuno and Switch Designs will be the official
outfitter for Premier Volleyball Club. The club registration fee will include the following for each athlete:
2 Mizuno Jerseys and 1 pair of spandex. For 12's teams: two jerseys and one pair of spandex.
Additional items may be purchased at additional costs. Supplementary club items for sale include: jackets,
duffel bags, socks, shoes, sweatshirts, and club T-shirts. Prices TBA.
Insurance Information:
It is the responsibility of each family to make sure that
their Premier Volleyball athlete has medical coverage. Your USA
Volleyball membership includes supplemental insurance. As with any
sport there are certain risks associated with participation. Premier
Volleyball Club will minimize these risks with proper sports equipment and
facilities. Premier Volleyball Club staff will maintain a safe
environment for your athlete, however, these risks cannot be eliminated
completely. All athletes are encouraged to complete a medical
examination prior to the volleyball season.
Playing Time:
Playing time is one of the top issues in all youth sports.
Premier Volleyball Club offers a competitive volleyball program
that tries to showcase its athletes on a national level. When
teams are selected it is based on putting the most competitive
team possible on the court. Every one on a team contributes to
the team’s success. Our practices are designed to help each
athlete develop and improve their skills as the season progresses.
It is the coach’s responsibility to put the athletes on court that
will produce positive results. Playing time is not guaranteed,
and is not always even. Team substitution and positions played
also impact playing time.
Sportsmanship:
Premier Volleyball Club takes pride in its staff and participants.
Sportsmanship is a strong part of that pride. Premier Volleyball
Club participants and spectators should show good sportsmanship at
all times. Parents, athletes, and coaches should not disrespect
any other clubs players, parents or staff. The coach and team
captain will be the only ones to address the officials regarding
calls and decisions. Spectators should only be respectful and
positive when cheering. Cheering loud is great but keep it positive.
Premier Volleyball Club includes more then one team, support and
cheer them all.
RMR Power Tournaments:
For all RMR Power Tournaments, players need to be at the designated
facility ready to play by 7:30 AM. Parents are responsible for
players’ transportation and lodging, if necessary, at all RMR Power
Tournaments. Once players are at the tournament site, they will
not be allowed to leave that facility until the coach excuses them.
All players must remember to bring with them:
- Both jerseys ( T-shirts for 12 and 13 Black Teams)
- Spandex (it is recommended that players have two pair of spandex;
shorts for 12 and 13 Black Teams

- Medicine (Advil or prescriptions. Coaches cannot give any medication to a
player so make sure whatever the player needs she has with her.)

Teams usually find an area in the facility to set up camp.
Parents may try to organize food for the day or players can
bring their own food. Players will not have a lot of time to
eat during the day, so it’s best to have healthy, ready-to-eat food
that does not require a lot of preparation or hinder performance.
Players may only have water in a closed container on the court.
Teams will be penalized if players bring anything but water to
the court area. This will also include food. Most facilities do
not allow food or drink in the gymnasiums.
All trash must be picked up and cleaned before anyone can leave the facility.
There are several duties that players must perform at the Power
Tournaments and it is important that all players participate in
these duties and not leave them up to the same players each tournament.
Players will need to officiate, score keep, and line judge.
Power tournament results may be viewed on line within a couple of
days after the tournament at www.rmrvolleyball.org.
Traveling to overnight tournaments:
- Players must be at the required check in location at the airport 2.5 hours prior
to the scheduled departure flight time.

prior to the trip to establish an itinerary for what the team will be doing off court.
- Players will not be allowed to leave the tournament site during the tournament.
- Coaches must know where players are at all times during the tournament.
- Players cannot leave the hotel with out permission from the chaperone or coach.
Players must always travel in groups of three (in any setting), if they are not with the team.

own transportation and lodging arrangements. As soon as the club has made the
travel plans for the team, you will be notified of these plans.
- All players must abide by all the rules set forth by the coach and chaperone.
- All players, coaches, and chaperones will travel with the team and stay in their assigned hotel rooms.

using tobacco will be sent home immediately at parents’ expense and may be asked to leave the team.
- Room assignments will be established by the coach before the trip.

Inappropriate behavior in the hotel will not be tolerated and may result
in a player not playing or being sent home depending on the severity of the incident.
- Players will not be allowed in a coach’s rooms unless another coach or chaperone is present.
Team/player meetings will be held in the coach or chaperone’s room or at a designated meeting location.
- Specific trip information will be given prior to each trip.
Parents:
The team parent is the communication link between the coach and parents for each team.
A team parent or assigned chaperone will be appointed for each traveling trip.
The team parent will be an assistant to the coach for social activities and other
help the coach may need. The following is a list of what the team parent is responsible for:
- Serve as the team representative and link for the coaches, parents and club directors.
- Set up a calling tree for the team.
- Organize team social functions.
- Stay with the team during events/activities
- Maintain a copy of player records as a back up to the coach’s records.
- Assist the club directors and coaches with team matters.
- Coordinate chaperone help for trips if needed.
- Work with the coach and club directors on the details for travel tournaments.
- Work with the fund raising coordinator on all activities that involve the team.
- Wash uniforms if needed at three day tournaments.
Facilities:
